May I just add that, I am not going to expect a lot of answers. This topic tends to render women speechless.

Some women do this, especially the younger ones. I'm surprised you noticed that--you're very observant. They're checking out the other hot girls. If someone looks like a threat, they automatically call her a b*tch or a whore *sigh*. Some things never change.

I size up some of the other women....but usually I end up looking for interesting male faces....hopeless flirt, that's me ;)
I also like to observe people in general, and watching others laugh and have a good time brings a smile to my face. I often wonder what other people are talking about that's so funny, and it reminds me of all the inside jokes and good times that I have with my own friends :)

Oh mercy!!! Honey, when I walk into anywhere, I have absolutely no desire to see anybody as competition. I look for friendly faces, smiles, and laughter. I also seek out those who are alone. And if someone is wearing interesting off-beat clothing, they also catch my attention.
