Depends on what you mean by pig-headed. The Greeks did believe they were the mentally superior race back in the time of Alexander and the crazy philosophers/

Greek people are intense in their feelings but they are fair. I've worked many years with a Greek lady, and she was very generous to people. A very hard working person just as the other Greek persons who came at the restaurant she managed by herself. From experience, I can't tell you they are pig-headed. They are determined to succeed in life if that is what you are referring to.

Like most people... there are really wonderful Greek people, there are really awful Greek people...
...and then there are Greek people who can be either wonderful or awful, depending on the situation.
I don't think that any group -- including the Greeks -- have a corner on stubborness.

I happen to have many Greek friends and they are just like every other person. They don't think they're better than anyone.

Absolutely! If a rumor is about an entire culture, then pretty much you can always count on its being really true.
Sigh.
