reason-
first of all, google "ixtapa, mexico" (image search) to check it out. i like tropical places a lot. most tropical places, i have found, are very commercialized though. they have tons of big name hotels and resorts and are full of tourists. i recently went to ixtapa though and it was AMAZING. i would have to say it is the most authentic, tropical/island-y/jungle-y place that is easily accessible. it isn't as well known as places such as cabo san lucas and puerto so there aren't TOO many tourists. also, you sit on the white sandy beaches and while being served the best pina coladas in the world! i get them the alcohol free because i like the taste of them, and in ixtapa, they use the freshest coconut milk in the world! literally right off the palms! and they make you fresh salsa and guacamole and have the most authentic tortilla chips i have ever tasted in my life. to sum it up, it is extremely AUTHENTIC. everything about it, and it's beautiful!
