I'm going to take classes for the Heimlich Maneuver. I know how to burp a baby too! I need to know what moms look for in a baby-sitter? Thanks Bunches! ♥

1. reliability..prompt and calls in advance for change of plans
2. stability...cool head in emergency
3. really cares about my child
4. controlled...when all is chaos they dont panick and want to kill my monsters who I dearly love.
5. level of maturity...are they so busy proving they are mature that they are to immature to call for help if they get in over thier head....even grown-ups get overwhelmed.
6. level of training...cpr, heimlich, home ec, first aide, friends or family members with children who have taught them about changing diapers without gagging.
7. references...are your parents avail to check on you if needed. have you done this before. how did other employers feel about the services you offered.
8 trustworthy...are you going to take care of my children eat with them play with them sing to them read to them or tell them to go play while you snack and sit on the phone. (I have had this happen and when I was a sitter I had a parent complain on of my friends did this to her)
9. honest...your not going to pry into my personal areas....look thru my personal papers go on my computer or be nosy
10. Love....love my children enough to care for them in the time I am away but not so much that I feel guilty I dont have all the time I would like to have to give to them. Meet this criteria then you will be the best baby sitter in the world.

Take the red cross babysitting class (if they still have it)
Becuase if you are certified in first aid/cpr that is a BIG +!!!!!!!!
And some one who can entertain their kids without tV

I look for someone that is reliable and available when I need them. I need to know that they won't let a child watch Nightmare on Elm Street, and know basic first aid.

Just make sure that you take a cpr class period. ANd when the baby starts crying please do not panic, I understand its very overwhelming, but just pick her/him and just kinda dance with her and sing to her walk around with her too. They love that!
GOod luck!
