An interview is not a presentation. It's more like a conversation. Be ready to answer question about why you're interested in the position and what about you makes you suited for the position.

Don't be nervous. The professor will ask you certain questions and you just be yourself. Answer honestly. Think about why you're the person for the job. Know what the position is about.

The best plan is to be yourself. Be confident & allow your personality to come forth. I'm sure you'll find that once the interview begins you'll relax a little more. Don't try to lead the conversation & take the chance of emarrassing yourself. The best & most discreet way to calm yourself is to use this method of a controlled breathing exercise. Inhale a slow gradual breath & hold it to a count or four, then slowly exhale to a count of four. It will help you to relax & stay calm. I've used for years with great success in important meetings & other stressful situations. Remember the word KISS which translates to K eep It S imple S tupid. Don't complicate the situation with idle conversation. Take the time to do a little research on the subject & don't be shy about asking questions. It shows an eargerness to learn. Be positive & you'll do just fine.

In my experience, interviewers always try to get you to say something negative about yourself or your past jobs. Try to stay as positive as possible.
If you can find out enough about them to ask a few questions, they like that. Tells them you're interested.
