Your white mice on TV were probably filmed in a lab, or in a fake outdoor setting. As mentioned above, white mice (albino or black-eyed-whites) are usually eaten if they leave cover since they stick out in natural settings. Snow is too cold, and most mice stick to underground burrows or human dwellings for shelter.
