Only possible way is to add oxygen to the equation:

Acetic acid + oxygen ===> carbon dioxide + water

C2H4O2 + ? O2 ===> 2 CO2 + 2 H2O

and to balance the equation, ? must be 2, which would give you two carbons, four hydrogens, and six oxygens on each side.

HC2H3O2 + 2 O2 =====> 2 CO2 + 2 H2O
