Over the years, Brasil have produced legendary players who can all be compared to Pele but " No One Can Be PELE." Falcao, Socrates, Carreca, Romario, Zico- These are Gifted Players but no one comapared them to Pele. So ...let us not compare Robinho or any other to the King of Futbol cos there is only one King that is Pele.

Maradona Jr : I have not seen the world comparing Robinho to Pele.

Don't be so burned. Maradona is a good player but cannot take Pele's place.

aru : the point is Robinho is just "one of many Brasilian players" who can be compared to Pele. Let us not forget about the other Brasilians as well who were as good or may be better than Robinho.

i like robinho alot but i also wonder why they keep calling him "the next pele"there are better players and like you said no one ever compared them to pele i think robinho is a wonderful player that has skills but not to the point were he can be called the next pele i really dont like when people compare other people pele is pele and robinho is robinho they each have there own style but of course that pele is the king...

ok,u answered ur question (in a very good way I'd say),so I think u only expected people to answer this with yes or no,agree or disagree!
I'll have to say that I agree with u ron! there really is,only one king pele! this is rational 'cause each person is unique (for everybody that answered this question the way u suggested!) no offence but this is the truth!
there will always be comparisons between somebody famous and somebody eager for affirmation,between a legend and a simple story,between the king of football and a football shamateur!
it's something typical,human,to have different oppinions,to compare one with each other!
sometimes the results can be positive,helpful,but sometimes the results can be very...annoying!!!
robinho is still young,he looks promising,I like the way he controls the ball,but he still has many skills to show,and maby who knows a personal legend to write! peace allz

Pele just has to be Pele...Robinho just has to b himself. They both do play really well but don't have to compare about it. Last time, there's some medias ever compared Ronaldo(bra) to Pele. i find that ridiculous. Even how good Ronaldo plays, but still he can't compare to the King Pele.

I think the reason why people compare Robinho to Pele is because Pele himself said so, is it not?

But you are sort of answering the question yourself.....Pele is the king, and so people will always compare other players to him, he is THE role model.....and it is only normal that people say....he runs like pele or kicks like him or whatever.....because nobody ever compares to worse players they do comparisons on those who are better
(and I agree with you btw.....maradonna can only hope to be in the same league as pele is in)

Then the whole world is stupid!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All I'm saying is that people are comparing Robinho&Pele and Maradona&Messi for a long time, they have a lot of things in common, body structure, same nationality and type of play, .........
well...not exactly "stupid" but ppl get excited when they see young players play well..and start comparing them to legends...sometimes there is a reason (like they might find many similarities in the 2 players)...and you have answered it yourself..so..Pele..is..well..The BesT...but you can't really compare the two..even though Robinho is very good...
hey ron...you are totally right man.
P.S. :Don't listen to the person above me (Robinho O Princpe Rules.) She is a pretender...: A French supporter.Even Rumman got tired of her useless comments. This person compares Herny to Pele.....did you see her level of stupidity ? Poor Rumman...He had some hard time with this person.
Added : Ignore her stupid comments! She just knows how to give bad ratings.
I agree. There is still only one king - KING PELE; however, we have a few great futebol princes that one day may become kings as well!
unfortunately ignorance and stupidity are in abundance, especially in the media with these so-called soccer types making statements of this magnitude.
