If you're trying to get pregnant, you need to get off the pill. If your body absorbs the hormone in the pill, you will not ovulate. Thus, you will not be able to conceive.

You cannot get pregnant on birth control pills. They are to prevent pregnancy by stopping ovulation. If you are trying, you need to stop taking the pills after your next period.

I know that my friend was put on bcp to regulate her periods so that they could get pregnant. .. however, the pill keeps you from ovulating, doesn't it? I would say get off the pill to get pregnant. Or if you need it to make you have a period, miss a few pills each week and maybe you'll conceive. .. I know a woman who got pregnant on the pill FOUR TIMES! (crazy, I know.)

If you stay consistent for a couple of months and then suddenly quit around the time you are to ovulate then it is more likely you will get pregnant
