i herd someone talking about a layout in basketball and im trying out for my basketball team in middle school i might need to know what it is so can someone tell me what a layouut is

well, when you "lay out" you are diving, fully stretched out, to make a catch... hope that helps

He may have meant lay up a layout is in football. It means extending all the way to make a catch

It is a player gets knocked down or falls down and lays out on the floor for a few minutes.
