How to easily port-forward my router?

I have a belkin wireless router, and I would like to port forward it. I have tried sites that show you how, but not quite sure on how to start. I also tried a program that does it automatically, but it didnt have my router listed. Also, does it speed up bittorrent downloads? Thanks

go here, choose your router, it'll tell you the rest.

and as far as i know it probably wont make a huge difference in download speeds. mostly that helps if you have trouble connecting (or cant connect) to things
