Too bad witches don't cast spells on people or I'd ask one to cast a spell on you to improve your grammer!!!!!!

they dont wear them.that is just a dressup for halloween thanks to them damn hollywood.they made us witches look like an old hag,ugliest things that was ever on this earth.and some of us are real beautiful through the eyes of the Goddess.believe it or not,some people may look at others and not even know that they are witches.we arent mean.we can be cute and cuddly.hollywood has ran our name to the ground.and i am mad about it and want hollywood to stop!it all started with bewitched.and than sabrina the tenage witch,and than hocus pocus.why do they make fun of us is beyond me.we may not wear them pointy hats as you call them,some of us may dress regular,some may dress the way they feel of themselves including me.i dont care to let the public know im a male witch.i mean us wiccans shouldnt have anything to hide.and another thing why would we want to wear them pointy hats?we dont want to make ourselves look like we are from hollywood!thats just nonsense.anyways,i hope this answered your question.because now i am angry for thinking about what hollywood done.and stuff is flying around knocking stuff off the shelves.thats the madness within me though.so hope this helped ya.

Well, there aren't real witches unless you mean wiccans, and they would only wear those pointy hats if it were a part of a costume.
The pointy witches hat actually evolved from a style of hat (often called a Pilgrim's hat) that was fashionable in the late 16th and 17th centuries. (You can see a modern one here: http://www.libertybellmuseum.com/MuseumShop/images/H112.jpg )
In fact, in lots of Victorian illustrations the witches are DEFINITELY wearing pilgrim's hats, as on the cover of The Devil's Legacy to Earth Mortals.

I have read alot about Witches and Wiccas and I have never seen any of them in witches hats. They look just like everyone else, but maybe just a bit more mystical

I think those hats were call dunce hats and I never saw a witch dressed that way except during the Halloween season! Flying now that is the fun part!

Right now I've just got on sweats and an oversized t-shirt... no pointy hats in my closet that I know of. A few baseball caps, though.

James - I own flying monkeys, and I'm not afraid to use them
I wore a hat like that, for Halloween. When not in use I hung it on the wall, along with my broom that came from Peru. Make those who entered my home, smile.
