He was definitely a bit less than balanced. However, Wilde had his moments, too. Read "De Profundis" for Wilde's side of the story. It's not a very pretty picture he paints there.

no joke! wilde seems like such a passionate witty loving man. but you can kind of guess that he has a thing for jerks when you look at pretty much everything he writes.

no Oscar was attacked when he was in oxford and he beat the cr*p out of 4 of his attackers , he was 6 foot tall , had a devastating wit, their relationship was as Oscar wanted explosive and volatile
