It would depend on a lot of things. First how MUCH of a cut. Secondly, do I really love my job and my co-workers? Third, could I get another job with the same pay (or more) in my area?
I love my job, I live very close to where I work, and it's in a resort area without a lot of jobs paying what I make. It would be unlikely for me to find a job paying the same amount I make now by looking elsewhere. For those reasons, it it were not a huge cut in pay, I would stay.
The other thing to consider is how long you've been at that job and how much seniority/benefits/vacation you've accrued and would have to give up if you quit.

This is allways a loaded question,i took a pay cut to keep my job but in the end i still was made redundant and that was after 20 years with the company. This is up to you looking at all the aspects first will you still be in the same job one year later? or will the company you now work for still make you redundant later?.So would your finances suffer very much if you went out and found a new position.Just remember you are the only one that can chose the path forward, every one can advice you but your the one that has to make the decision in the end.

depending on if i really liked the place i was at, and if it was not that much of a cut. people are so afraid of change. if its not worth your feeling and your bank account, find another job. they really do come a dime a dozen. go find something worth 'YOU'
