No, I think Argentina played better than Germany during regulation time and also during overtime. Unfortunately they couldn't translate this plus into a win. Also, a few of the best Argentine players were on the bench, so that could have been a factor in the game. But give credit where credit is due: Germany did a better job than Argentina in the penalties (Bravo Lehmann!!!)

Germany weren't much better at all, they just showed extraordinary resilience to beat Argentina in the penalty shoot-out. They were outplayed by Argentina throughout the game, who sadly couldn't convert their chances into goals, and made some terrible tactical errors like taking off Riquelme and leaving Messi on the bench. German fans should acknowledge the fact that Argentina played better, but lost to a more resilient and motivated team.
