I only want an electric plane.... Everywhere I go they are sold out. Please to gas powered. If you find a website with free shipping that would be great.

Actually, any scaled down 3 channel electric powered mono wing airplane would suit me.

If you want a fully functional R/C plane... and you want it cheap.. Check out GWS planes on Towerhobbies.com. I don't think they have a cessna, but I know they have some similar planes. I have flown several GWS planes, they fly well.

If you want a real scale cessna your not going to get one for cheap.. and you will be putting alot of time into it. Great Planes I think might still make one... but it wont be cheap... also house of balsa used to make a kit, but their kits are rather lacking and hard to build.

Hope this helps.

In response to the airhogs comment. Dont waste your time. If your going to go R/C get the real deal and don't waste the money on the junk toy store products.

Yes I realize that foam planes are weak in a crash but the gws ones hold up pretty well and with a little 5 minute apoxy they are back in the air... which is alot faster than fixing a balsa plane.

I've had good luck with the HobbyZone Aerobird 3. It's around $100.00. It's RTF and V-tail. It doesn't have ailerons, just ruddervators. It's a tough bird. It takes punishment from crashes. That good because if you try to learn to fly it on your own you will crash starting out. You can get replacement parts. The transmitter has a single stick for left/right and up/down. This simplifies flying the thing. It also has a slider for throttle. If you fly at half-throttle, you can fly for 15 minutes on one NiMH battery pack (used in the plane). Because its not a 3 axis airplane, I think its a little skittish in turns and doesn't do well in moderate wind conditions (fly in 6 mph or less). It does come with landing gear, but I would recommend leaving them off. Hand launch and land on grass. Unless you have a real isolated field. Fly it in a field designed for R/C aircraft. It will qualify for Parkflier planes. I would highly recommend getting AMA (American Modeler Association) Parkflier insurance. When flying, Back off on the throttle after take-off. Much of the time you will fly with almost no throttle at all. When turning, pull back on the stick some. Avoid sharp turns unless you have more throttle. Unlike an actual aircraft, on landing you may have to push forward on the throttle to get it down where you want, even with throttle back. When putting it together, make sure you follow the directions and trim the ruddervators. Good luck.
