because sometimes thats how guys just do it. sometimes they do it to not let it show that they are into you and sometimes they do it to make the girl mad because they like it when a girl gets a little mad because its "cute".
girls do the same thing.
because i know i do lol.

Well, some guys are childish and flirt by being mean because they don't know how to express themselves and their interest.
On the other hand they like you so much that they can't ignore you and want to show you that they like you but don't like to make it obvious what they always fail to do :)
Some guys do it for attention, to make you give them some attention. Because guys like atention especially from the girl they like. Otherwise they wood stare at you, but they are afraid to ask you on a date, so, they trying to get your attention otherwise= by flirting but flirting by being mean.
It can be confusing for a girl. I do it easier to understand. I flirt by talking to a girl a lot and look into her eyes, may be play fight a little but let her win or let her beat me up a little (what they always do just by touching or tapping :)
So, here you go. Girls are difficult creatures to understand and interpretfor guys and me in particular :) But by saying that aren't guys same to girls? :)

But please don't take guys seriously in these occasions.
They only have the best thoughts in mind and not the intention to upset anyone.
The most attractive girls of those whom they flirt with like this are the ones who think that this meanness is actually kinda funny.

Ya know when you were in grade school and the boys teased you? Well it was because they liked you. Hence the guys that are being mean when they hit on you now emotionaly never got out of grade school. Yes yes they are IMATURE!!!!
