ok so heres the thing, i have a friend who is a little younger than me and she looks up to the advice i give her and she is in a situation with a guy and i can't figure it out so i have come here for all of your wisdom.

she met him a few months ago and they have been talk almost every day since. when they talk on the phone it is for hours and there is never a quiet moment. he is in a relationship and until now she has always seen him as just a friend. so when she called me the other night she told me she was begining to have feelings for him i told her that she had to tell him. so she told him and asked him "how do you feel?" and he asked her "how do you think i feel?" and she told him "i don't know i'm not you i can't say" and he told her "i will give you a few days to ponder it and you can let me know."
my question is men WTF dose that mean? dose a man have long conversations everyday with a woman and have no feelings for her? i am at a loss on this one.

The guy sounds retarded. Honestly though, if he's talking to her on the phone that much, he's probably looking to cheat on his girlfriend.

The fact that he wouldn't tell your friend how he felt means that he's trying to seem less attainable to make her want him more. It's one of those stupid games some people like to play. Kind of like when a girl tells a guy she's busy Friday night so she seems more popular than she is.

I've had alot of female friends in the past, but if I was ever talking to a girl on the phone that much, it was usually because I was interested in her.

I am not a man but for a girl who grew up around only brothers I sort of have an idea how they think. A man can talk with a woman for hours and not have romantic feelings for her. Maybe he's going thru something and need some one to talk to. Your friend came in as that "listening ear".

he's afraid if he tells her he really likes her... it will get something going between the two of them and he does have a girl friend that could find out... if he tells her he doesn't like her... I think he feels the daily phone calls will stop.... I think she is what we call a backup... keeping her going on the side with no commitment... he likes her but likes his GF better... but if him and his GF break up he has your friend to fall back on... what do you think... sounds about right to me

of course he wants her, but if she says yes and he leaves his current woman, whats to say hes not going to talk to another woman on the phone for hours and do the same to your friend?????

It's possible he does, and wants out of or is out of, his other relationship. It's also possible that she just thinks he does, and he's letting her think so, for some reason.

It means that he thinks that she should already know how he feels about her. Doesn't she?
