Who was the better band of the 90's Alice in Chains or Nirvana? I used to be a huge Nirvana fan but after listening to AIC I'm finding them kind of overated.

Hmmm... Really depends on what kind of grunge you're in to. If you like more metal tinged grunge, then AIC is your group of boys. More punk influnced, Nirvana is your cup of tea. I have always been a punk lover, so I naturally went for Kurt and the boys, but AIC has some kick *** jams, so I'm pretty torn!

Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, Temple of the Dog just to name a few. I never was a fan of Nirvana . . . sorry.

I like them both, but I think AIC has a little more material to enjoy. I'm a huge soundgarden fan as well.

Nirvana, man. Nobody could come up with the stuff Kurt, Krist and Dave could. As far as grunge goes, Nirvana is king.

depends on whether you're looking for lyrics(Nirvana) or good licks (AIC). Definitely need to check out AIC on tour with their new frontman,well worth the ticket price.
