We have started to renovate our basement and now all of a sudden our house is full of centupedes big and small! We found 4 big ones and 3 babies upstairs today. What's the deal? What can we do about them? Should we call an exterm or just do it ourselves? Thanks!!!

I work for an exterminator. This is the time of year where you will see a lot of bugs come in cause its cold outside and they are looking for a place to stay over the winter. If you are remodeling, you may have disturbed an area where they were hanging out or you may have some open gaps where they can come in. Look around and seal all windows, doors and any holes leading to outside. If you use your own spray, try to use something that's residual. We used Suspend SC, follow the directions. Oh, you cant buy it in stores, but you can order it online. we dilute it with water. You can spray a perimeter around your house with a chemical called Talstar, it keeps out spiders, ants, crickets, roaches, and centipedes. Good luck!!

We had thousands wall to wall.
Found out they live on moisture and mildew
We bought a dehumidifier and found how damp it really was
They disappeared in a couple of days
We vaccumed the rest with a bugcum vaccum

Call an exterminator. You accidentally disturbed a nest. It's not something you can really do yourself. BTW, I don't think anything is nastier than a big centipede. They really creep me out. I pity you.

We bought stuff from home depot for spiders and sprayed ourselves. Worked great. They are all gone. It is called Diaznon.Great stuff

best thing to do is to burn them that way you know they are dead over here(hawaii) some people say seeing centipedes all of a sudden means someone is jealous of you

just stomp the livin "blank" outta them theyre the grossest bug..lol...kill as many as you can on your own with some bug spray, and if you still have problems you should probly call the exerminator.
