Every one else thought i was going to die last year when i fell down stairs and smashed my head on the wall at the bottom of them i didn`t know anything because i was in a sort of a coma .The longest time i was awake for the first 17 days was less than 5 minutes I still can`t remember falling but the doctors said i must have gone straight down head first ,and if i wasn`t small and skinny i wouldn`t have survived . This sounds disgusting but my brain was so swollen that brain fluid was running out of my ear but like i said i can`t remember anything about it and not a lot for quite a few weeks after.

I actually did . After a " OD " on RX drugs ,I tried to take my life 5 yrs. ago when I couldn't stop drinking . The pain of always disappointing my family was more than I could take anymore . I didn't know how else to stop it so I took over 200 pills and washed it down with a pint of Rum . I guess when the paramedics
got there I had no vital signs at all . They were able to revive me but I remained in a coma for 5 days . All of the Doctors said that even if I lived {which } was doubtful , that I would remain in a coma the rest of my life or at the very least would not ever be the same again .
God had a different idea , I did survive with little or no damage to body or mind . I surrendered to him that day realizing that he was much stronger than I could ever be .
Anytime someone else needs help in this area I am always willing to help in any way possible . I know now that is why God wouldn't let me go .
I have been sober for 5 years and today I'm grateful to be alive & able to help others !

Yes when I was 10 I nearly died from pneumonia that had been left untreated. I overheard the doctor telling my parents (they thought I was asleep or unconscious, but could still hear, although not able to talk or respond). It was weird because it felt like they were talking about somebody else, and I didn't really take it in properly - I mean, I was pretty sick.
A couple of years ago I had a cancer scare and the possibility of it being terminal was discussed and thought about. The only treatment offered was one I didn't want to accept, and I didn't get any support from friends and family, who felt I was being unreasonable (I eventually persuaded the doctors to try a different treatment, which has been successful - touch wood). I felt terrible - it was the loneliest I've ever felt.
Life is completely different for me now - I don't believe in the same things I used to, and I don't feel the same way about myself or the world either. I'm not sure I've ever been able to shake the feeling of being separate from other people since then.

I was in a car with my husband and a couple of friends. We skidded on black ice at night and spun out of control towards a the edge of the road where it dropped into nothingness. We couldn't avoid going over the edge and I knew this was it. I thought in the flash "I'm going to die. I'm going to experience this." I wasn't at all afraid. I always tend to intellectualize intense experiences.
I don't know how, but we missed the edge and the driver regained control.

I had strep throat 3 times within 2 and 1/2 months and ended up with mono on top of that! I had a tempeture of 104 for 3 days and don't remember anything except that I kept trying to open my eyes and speak but I couldn't. I was scared to death!

it was really weird. I was lying in my bed, trying to get to sleep. I could hear my heart beating, and it sounded to me like it was getting slower and slower. i was waiting for it to stop altogether. kept thinking about what would happen if I did die, what my mom and dad would do etc.. I was 14 at the time, and obviously, I didn't die. It was weird because I seriously thought I was going to die, even though nothing whatsoever was wrong with me.

Yes - I had a serious condition that needed emergency surgery about 12 years ago, and I honestly thought I was going to die.
In reality, that wasn't going to happen as they caught the problem in time - nevertheless I have never forgotten that terror.

Oh yes! I had my gall bladder removed in an emergency op and caught an infection, i was really bad.I'm allergic to penicillin, the warning was on my hospital folder, and yes, they gave me penicillin.I went into anaphallactic shock and nearly died.!My friend, who is a nurse, read the notes at the bottom of my bed and she knew the drug i'd been given.Strangely my notes disappeared and i couldn't prove it.I was told i'd had a reaction to morphine, but i hadn't had any for 4 days!I'm terrified of ever having to go into hospital again.

I have actually 'died', after an operation.
In the recovery room, I was given a sip of water, then nothing.
I woke up in the ward 2 hours later, after having had my heart restarted 3 times.
If we journey to another plain, it's down a long, very quiet, dark, tunnel.

Pasage del terror at blackpool pleasure beach. Basically pay a fiver to walk through a scary dark place and have scary people jump out at you, ending with someone wielding a chainsaw.
Also a crazy belgian tried to shoot me when I was a kid.
