How old are you? How much experience with computer in general do you have?

I started learning programming concepts with JAVA. It's free, and will run on any OS. You didn't specify what OS you're on, but i'm assuming you're on a PC (windows).

Check out this site to get started with JAVA.

Maybe you want to pick up a book and read about it. Most of the times a book will be more helpful to you because it will tell you the theroy before having you jump onto the computer to do things right away.

C# is another good language, but unless you get the free version Express, which limits what you can do, you'll have to pay big bucks to get the .Net suite with contains C#.

Good luck.. happy coding

To keep in touch with the latest standard for programming, your best and most up-to-date bet would be to download Visual Basic Express or Visual C# Express. You can get them from http://msdn.microsoft.com and its alllllll free! There's loads of tutorials to help you out, too :-)
