I personally could not see David Beckham in a Green Hooped jersey unless it's in a couple of seasons time in order to prolong his career, because let's face it the Scottish Leagues are Brad Pish, as much as I love Celtic I am a realist and long gone are the days when players of the calibre of Larsson, Laudrup and Gascoigne would be drawn to the SPL.

It is a pleasant thought but an all too unrealistic one at this moment in time.

Despite Beckham being vilified by the press, he still remains one of the top 100 players in world football and as such he will probably be looking for a big money move (which Celtic could not afford).

My money would be on a move to either the USA, Italy, or one of the London based Premier League sides.

Celtic are rightly the top club in Scotland but Beckham will never move there because he will see it as a drop in standard - I think he will retire rather than take a step down from Real. And Posh in Glasgow - no way! But he would be an asset to Celtic.

Anybody with two half decent feet will be an asset to the Scottish game. My two year old would have a good chance.. It's a place for has=beens and wanabees, not for players in their prime.

Why would Beckham want to play in the crappy Scotish League.

Only 3 places where Beckham might end up if he comes back to England and they are.

1. Spurs
2. Arsenal
3. Bolton

This is not going to happen.
Strachan was having a laugh at Chic Young's expense.

It IS interesting to see that both here and elsehwere the Nigels state his missus would not move to Scotland.
Why not?
Compare with engerlund; British National Party, racial unrest, football hooliganism, inner city deprivation.
Good choice?

That's the strangest thing I've heard in a while.
Celtic had to break the bank to bring Roy Keane in. I don't think they can afford Becks. Besides, I do not believe Celtic need him.

No not really,I do not think Becks would enjoy playing in the Scottish divisions, and I would imagine his other half would not cherish the thought of having to move to Scotland

Definitely as he'll also be wanting to prove himself after being left out of the English squad and being on the bench at Real.

Don't listen to the rumurs that you hear; not everything you read in the newspapers is true. Some of it is mere speculation.
