Once you have the cheat screen (CTRL+SHIFT+C) up you type in "motherlode" (for $50,000) or "katching" (for 1,000) for money, and "max motives" for the other. To stop it from decaying at all try putting in "motive decay off". then you don't have to worry about it. All cheats are listed in the game open the cheat menu and type "help" then the game will list all the cheat codes.
