Georgia has produced quite a number of famous singers/Bands.
This is just a small sample..
The Allman Brothers Band, Mark Heard, Lucille Hegamin, Lena Horne, Otis Redding, and Little Richard, as well as more recent names like violinist Robert McDuffie, rapper Young Jeezy, and country artist Jason Aldean. Partly as a result of this musical heritage, Macon is also the home of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, where musicians from around the state are enshrined for their contributions.

Dude, come to Indianapolis. You can crash at my place. I'm a singer (I sound a lot like Steven Tyler), and the Indy indie scene is booming. We can start a band called "The Mammys" and do hard rock covers of old songs from the 20's and 30's. Each member of the band can wear a different color on his face like Al Jolson used to wear blackface (I'd like yellow, please), and we can end every show with an awesome electric version of "My Mammy". We'll make millions. What do you think?

That could happen anywhere. Slipknot is from Iowa- who would'a thought a cool metal band would come from farmville? Well, I did. Location doesn't matter so much unless your hometown doesn't actually have any talent in it.
