Stupid and Happy. Happiness is what makes it worthwhile getting out of bed in the morning.

Another specious question, with only two choices, NEITHER of which are attractive.

I think stupidity is the one, single, true path to misery. Stupidity leads to bad, ininformed choices. Enough of thes bad choices makes for a truely miserable existance.

Look what happens when people make election choices without makeing the effort to become informed. Even the founding fathers expected an informed electorate, as indicated by the expressed freedom of the press.

I admit the education is no guarantee of happiness. But the results of the opposite are VERY clear.

I would have to say smart and miserable. Being smart you know the truths of things and you know what to expect in life and maybe avoid some of the trials and shocks of life. As being stupid and happy, you may have a hard time understanding life and the trials that go along with it. It could, in turn, bring you to depression.

Smart and miserable:

It is better to be a human being dissatisfied than a pig satisfied; better to be Socrates dissatisfied than a fool satisfied. And if the fool, or the pig, are of a different opinion, it is because they only know their own side of the question. The other party to the comparison knows both sides. John Stuart Mill in Utilitarianism Ch.2

In fact the smarter you are the less likely you'll be to find people of comparable intellect. This is why so many love the web!

wow, hahahaa, I'd rather not ask a question like that in a public forum, elitist twerp. Would you rather offend most of the population with one question or live in miserable contentment safe in the knowledge that you think you are smart?
