Personality. It's about community:
-If your ugly, then you can still be friends with other "ugly" people.
-if your body's bad, well, you're not the only one, and you can be friends w/ them.
(Also for these 2, it's really all in the eyes of the beholders)
-If you're smart, you can be friends w/ other smart people, if you're dumb, you could make friends w/ other dumb people, and if you're in between, then you're average, and can make friends with anybody.
-But if your personality sucks, then nobody wants to be around you.

My 2-cents opinion, all those matters.
The world is unfortunately very demanding. Not only you have to have good looks, you also need to be smart and with a pleasant personality.
Just ask yourself honestly, if you have a choice between a good-looking person with lousy personality and a similarly good-looking person with very nice manners and kind-hearted. You'll definitely pick the 2nd option.
Or if one is smart but arrogant and another is also smart but humble, helpful, etc. Again the second person is a better choice.
So, how can we say that one is more important than the other.
Which is why i personally believe if you are a genius, spend sometime to comb your hair and help those who may need assistance.
If you are good-looking don't snub the rest and try to read up some books once in a while.
And if you are humble, kind, sensitive, etc, do realise that people might take advantage of you so stand up for what you believe.
Life's not perfect, can never be. But at least try to reach as far as you could.

My vote is to the 'brains' because your wisdom is the most precious thing you have, it can make you be a professor or a millionaire or a Nobel Laureate and become famous worldwide like Madame Curie or Albert Einstein. How about their looks, bodies and personalities? Their names've been recorded in history as the geniuses with great scientific contributions to mankind since they had the 'brains'. The other three do not help you to achieve what I've told you. In other words, they're mere illusions and changed into something we don't want to see or admire through one's aging years but the 'brains' or wisdom does not, it's your best treasure in your life.
Take care.

My body is the most important thing to me, because if it is not functioning right, then I am not (cannot be) happy. As far as the opposite sex is concerned I would have to go with personality first, then looks, then body, then brains.

I think it doesn't matter the looks, body, brains, or personallity, but it's what you do with what you got!!! A little of all goes a long way. Health is most important in my book!

Body and looks - as without those one is not generally going to look any further. Most of us would like to think we're not shallow, but sadly, we are!

It depends on the situation. There are a lot of attractive people who are successful but they have very abrassive personalities and they aren't that bright.
