I know a lot of people struggle with this disorder, what I am wanting to do is just find out some habits that I could pick up that may help me be more organized, compulsive, whatever you want to call it...I don't really know how to word this question so I know this may sound off the wall and you may not even understand what I'm asking...But if you do please shed some light on the subject...

Your ultimate goals are to live a more organized and orderly life. You have to organized all your things at home in an orderly fashion. Shoes, clothes according to colors. Wash your hands often. Make a to do list and try to adhere to that. Follow the days and dates of the calendar. Set your alarm clock so your waking time and bedtime is regimented. After you use certain items, make sure you return everything back to its original positions. Mark your calendar for all your appointments. Make sure you check this often.

It sounds like you're trying to become more organized right? Because people are obsessive compulsive for various reasons. In order to get rid of a bad habit you have to create a new one to replace it with. It depends what your talking about, this question is too vague. Messy house? Messy homework? Messy job? Messy life? All theses things require different answers.

Get rid of the junk and if you haven't used it in 1 year toss it. Otherwise, don't wish that on yourself my friend has it and its a compulsion to do things. Like she vaccuums 4 times a day and washes her hand about 35 times in the morning alone. Watch Clean Sweep on A&E that might help you out.
