This is the phrase which would be the x-axis and which would be the y-axis?

It's not for sure, but I would plot the height on the x-axis and the diameter on the y-axis. Always look for examples in your textbook or if this is an even problem and the odd numbered problems have the answers in the back compare for a similar phrase.

usually the taller you are the heavier you would weight... but what you mean by diameter?
well if diameter is what u meant by weight.. then
y= dependet
x= independent variable
therefore, y= diameter
x= height
