where is the thermostat on a 1999 cavalier?

On the 2.2 engine, if you look at the engine from the front, it is on the left front of the engine below the alternator. On a quad 4 engine, the thermostat is on the back side of the engine on the bottom. Hard to get to without lifting the vehicle.
