leadership topic ideas?

I have to do a 5-10 page paper on an organizational leadership topic of my choice. Does anyone have any ideas?

How about motivating workers?
How do people at the top keep the people who work for them motivated and on board with the mission of the orgnaization?

For people to be on board they have to feel ownership of the mission, it has to benefit them in some way, and they have to feel important to the organization.

Contrary to popular political chat- most Americans
are interested in the stock market why ?
There are more private funds in mutual funds than banks
Also many peoples retirements 401-k's etc you get the idea
There seems to be a couple of different concepts among the different funds
1. put a face on it (star system) rises or falls on one person
2. management by committee eliminates the problem when your fund get raided and the bright guy/gal takes a walk
Investigate performance of each , advantages/disadvantages
maybe even performance in specific markets
financial planners in your area should provide a start.
When you isolate a specific company call and ask specific questions (They are in the business of generating interests in their products). The multitude of finance magazines are a third source. As a bonus you might learn more about finance that will be useful later on.

thats a good topic...

one thing you need to keep in mind is that management is something you can learn....but you can not learn how to be a leader. good leaders are born as leaders.
