On an International stage, with the WC, his nations dreams and his reputation at stake I highly doubt it.

By the way, I'm really enjoying your questions..thanks.

As another person said, Materazzi was saying very insulting things. If Zidane had complained after the game nothing would have been done because at the time Materazzi denied that he'd said anything, but later retracted the statement.

No. A professional lip reader say that Materazzi says some things about Zidane's grandma, who was in the hospital deathly sick. I don't think that Zidane would throw away his last game just for a "publicity stunt".

His last game before retiring and his dream was to bring home the trophy, I highly doubt that it was a publicity stunt!!

Does someone really care about publicity when defending one's family, at the expense of abruptly ending a career in football after a long and inspirational legacy?

I think not!

No because I don't think Zidane would end his magnificent career on such a stupid thing like that.

i doubt it cause it was zidane's LAST game ever. he wouldnt have wanted to ruin it on purpose. i mean, a legend like him and all. he wouldnt have just flushed his reputation down the drain like that. but personally, i still love and respect him! and ALOT of people still do. :) i mean, its zidane!! :) he's the best!

yeah, what andygurl said, i really like your questions. :) AND your picture. :) haha

I do not think so. He is normally a pretty cool person. Who would want to leave a game/ career with this marked incident.
