Oh God! Please let me know if you find a way! I cannot stand him. Why doesn't someone just realize he's an old has-been who can no longer relate to toady's players? His rambling has become pathetically intolerable!

I agree with you Christine, the only thing he knows is football, that is his life. Without it I think he would die. I used to livein Pleasanton Ca. ( where he lives) and during the off season you can still see John Madden walking around in town talking about football.
He does ramble on and on, enough to drive you to drinking, that explains what happen to Pat Summeral, his old partner who nearly drank himself to death

I have a friend that thinks the same way. He mutes the TV and turns on his stereo to ESPN radio...simulcast...works for him!

i know he is very very annoying... but i really have to give credit to him. he is getting pretty old, but he still is the man of NFL.
