I really love to make afghans. I love to crochet! It's a lot of fun and it's pretty easy. It also shows that you put a lot of love and care into it. I think the main reason I like to do it is it reminds me of my grandma, she used to make afghans for us for our birthdays and Christmas.

I enjoy making beaded jewelry, and doing my own wirework with it. I also knit. For Christmas this year, I'm doing a lot of 'handwarmers' for friends. It's kind of like a fingerless mitten that only covers the fingers up to the first knuckle. (I found the pattern for those free online by using Google.) I also enjoy designing and making most of my own clothes. Some folks don't call sewing a craft, but I do.
If you're looking for crafts you can do, have you tried leaf rubs? I don't live in a part of the country that has autumn leaves, but friends who do tell me they're fun to do. You take a piece of midweight or lightweight paper and place a leaf under it. Rub lightly over the leaf with an autumn-leaf colored pencil or even crayon (gold, off-green, brown, orange, etc) so the lines and outline of the leaf show clearly. It may take a little practice and a few pieces of paper and leaves. Once you get the hang of it, you can rub two or three onto one smallish piece of paper, then use that paper on the front of a handmade card. It's a great way to make your own Thanksgiving cards -- greeting cards, invitations, or thank you cards.

I like to make country mini wall quilts, with tea dyed fabrics. I like to hand stitch the whole thing and hang them using sticks from the yard or cinnamon sticks.
I also enjoy making ornaments every year out of polymer clay. Last year, I also made place markers for the Thanksgiving table using the polymer clay. I made little pumpkins and acorns and inserted a wire into the top before baking. I then curled the wire into a coil so it would hold a piece of card stock with a name on it.
Hope this gives you some ideas...happy crafting !!!!!!!!!!
