They surfaced in the late seventies. I believe they were originally used as horse tranquilizers. I had the misfortune of ingesting one in the seventies. I had a raging headache and my friend offered me one. I had a major allergic reaction - hives, disturbing thoughts. It was a nightmare. Not at all in the class of drugs in which xanax, valium are in. I think from what I recall the slow motion effects of it were in sync with the music of the day.

Quaalude are pills that people took more in the 80's than now.
They are pain killers, I believe, but they would really bring you down, or knock you out altogether

a hypnotic drurg from the 70s made by roher that was somewild stuff it would make the girls drop the laundry in a hurry was way to dangerous .i think it was sleeping pill but what a party drug my oh my 714 was number on pill

it's a drug.. supposed to make your "feel good" helps with anxiety.. you'll hear alot of it in "stoner" movies.. "gimme a lude dude"..
