Burnt Offerings... a movie I saw when I was a little girl... I don't know if I would say it is the scariest ever, but it scared the poop out of me then and I still think it's scary as an adult. My kid thinks it's so dumb, but kids these days don't get to grow up with real scary movies. There all blood and gore, which I love too, but it leaves nothing to the imagination. I also thought the first Ring was scary. the first time I saw it... very scary. I put the stupid screen saver on my computer and it was on when I had to get up in the middle of the night... that stupid well and that noise......

since i don't watch rated R movies, the scariest movie i've ever seen is When a Stranger Calls the modern one

hands down the original halloween! michael myers is the scariest character and the score for halloween is the scariest music for any movie too... the ring and the grudge are not scary!

Personally i would have to say the original Amityville Horror, from the '80s it is not like the horror movies of today. no sudden scares or no real gore, it's just a scary movie. and it's based on a real story.

I would have to say by FAR it was Hostel.. That movie freaked the **** out of me.. Not only was it scarry but things like that really can happen.. If you are looking for a good scary movie to watch I say this one will scare you... Watch it.

the exorcist the old one, because the movie is much different then what you watch in a movie today and is very scary
