Hello my friend........I would have to disagree with that statement. I don't doubt that the Sulfuric is the best way to clean glass, it's a serious chemical........so much so, that it becomes an explosive when it comes in contact with water. I would certainly want you to have a clean bong, not at the cost of your safety. There are probably other compounds that would work as well without the risk. That CRS would be good, not the no-name brand, the real stuff. It's for Calcium, Rust, and Lime......NO.......... I stand corrected, it's CLR....Calcium, Lime and Rust, that's it. PS............There's also Muratic Acid, it's used to clean brick right after they've been laid, you can dilute that with water to the strenght you want.......GOOD LUCK......LATER

It's been many years, but unless things have changed, try denture cleaner. rinse it out with hot water a couple of times, fill it with tap temperature water, drop in a tablet, and let it sit for a while. Works great and it's perfectly safe.

Go to any head shop and get a cleaner for your bong. I use this purple stuff, can't remember the name of it but it works great. It's around $10.00 and reusable.

No idea on the acid, but ice and salt swished around is how coffee pots are usually cleaned.

Use Simple Green (u can get it at Target or Walmart) but don't dilute it with water. That works great.

I would just use bleach and water and let it sit for a little while.
