HI over the long school holidays my two young grandchildren were getting fed up, SO apart from going out places on rainy days i got some craft sets for making cards & play dough & sewing & embroidery they both LOVE it they have created allsorts but for the last week they have both been doing cross stitching they cant wait to get it done, its the best thing we got them into doing, it will also come in handy when they get older, why not give it a go, i have sent you two sites that have free patterns,

Many churches today offer a good and active youth and childrens' ministry. Go to the youth minister or childrens' minister to ask them about this. If you are not in a church that offers this, then I am sure your pastor would hear your plea for a program to start for it. If you do not go to church at all, then I encourage you to find one within decent driving time that is totally in love with Jesus and that has a good ministry for youth/children. God bless you, and I ask Him to help you find your and your kids' way. :) In the meantime, try a family game night. Have slumber parties with them and sleep under sheet-tents in the living room and make up fun things to do. Try googling 'fun things to do at home with my kids' or something of that sort. Try the park, and picnics and frisbee. Take pictures of yall having fun and make scrapboooks of it. Pray with them at night before bedtime and during the day and at each meal you have together. :)

My fav thing to do with my kids, warm or chilly weather, is hitting up a local nature center/forest preserve.. Kids love to explore and get dirty and nothing tires kids out faster then fresh air!
Bowling is great, how about a local Y for some swimming? Mini golf, indoor go-karts,fishing, museums... there's lots to do!

Take them on a nature walk. Take them to a museum. Try google and type in "children activities and your town and state. Lots of options near you should pop up. Have fun! (Zoo, just different parks, take them swimming, skating, ice skating, to a craft place.)

Check with your local library, they oft times will have postings for local events. Try your kids school(s) for information, also your local church for after school and weekend activities.
