I have a question here. I made a 74.00 money order out and I was only suppost to make it out for 70.00. Does anyone know if I can still use that or should I just cash it myself and redo it?

Take the money order back to where you bought it right away! With your receipt. They will take that one back give you a new one and give you the four dollars change. It has happened to me before.Try to get the same person who sold it to you or a manager and yo will not have a problem. Best wishes.

I had a MO that I got from Amscot for $15. It was made out to the wrong person, so I took it back to exchange it. They charged me $1.50 to cash it, then reissued another for free. What a ripoff!

If it is not made out to anyone then cash it out & redo it . If it's made out to someone then take it back to where you purchased it & have them stamp it not used for purpose intended & redo the money order.

You can still use it. If you cash it in it will cost you about $1 and buy another one that may be another $1... save yourself the headache and time. Also, if it is for a bill you will have a credit in on your account for $4.

Is it a postal money order? If it is, just take it to any post office to correct it.
