Who thinks firefighters desevers more respect?

i do. they run in burning buildings, and they rish there lives for people they don't even know

then most people give them
i think when people see them outside live if they drive past a fire house they should say thank you

im just asking.

on long island they are mostly volunteers and i dont think they get enough respect.yea when theres a fire at the high school the kids cheer but its b/c they get longer out of class

let me get one thing stright im not worshipping firefighters. thy do alot and should be thanked.

Not so much respect as much as awe and recognition. I'd tell you how it feels to have a bell ringing in your ear at one or three in the morning in the middle of a sound sleep to know that you have to jump into your gear to travel at high speed down the road and get into a heap of **** when you get there come back clean up and get ready to do it again at the ring of that loud unforgiving bell.

Firefighters deserve more credit for their valor and bravery.

A fifth U.S. Forest Service firefighter has died of burns suffered when flames from a deliberately set wildland fire overran his five-man crew in Southern California last week.

Twenty-three-year-old firefighter Pablo Cerda died at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton.

Cerda was burned over 90 percent of his body Thursday in the Esperanza fire as he and four other firefighters tried to protect a home. Three crew members died at the scene, with a fourth dying later that day at a hospital.

Well they're not really that special imo.

They do their job and get paid for it.
If they help me personally I will of course thank them.. same as I thank the person who serves me my food or scans my shopping.

What exactly do you mean by respect? Everyone deserves respect and last time I checked firefighters were still getting a lot of respect.

Also firefighters jobs are not really about risking their lives. There is just more risk than the average person. I mean, sure there is little to no risk stocking shelves in a supermarket but you get benefits and wages according to the type of job you have.
Also they asses the risk before they go in and decide how long they will stay etc. There's just more chance of it going wrong, things you can't predict like structures collapsing or gusts of wind etc.

I got over worshipping firemen when I was about 10 years old.

Firefighters and police officers..,I hope someone sees the dollars signs in california and turns the scum in that started the fires out there that killed the 4 possibly 5 firemen.Our hearts and prayers are with all of you firefighters,thank you and God bless all of you.

I am not sure if they deserve more respect. Cause i think they already do.

I think they should get higher pay as they are using their lives to save others.

Police officers in the line of duty, firefighters...these people should be getting more pay and should receive a pay adjustment for the things they do.

In Australian they get a lot of respect, fires come close to my home in the summer. They deserve respect.
