I would not want to live forever in my current state. I think some people throw around the word "forever" like it is a "really long time."
Forever is forever. Not a billion years. Not a billion years squared.
If you talk to most really old people, they are usually ready to go. Being young, it's hard to realize that.
The closest example I have though is that a few years ago I had a really great job, and everyone got laid off except for me. Every relationship I had developed had suddenly vanished from my workplace. I eventually left the job than for no other reason to "move on to the next stage of my life".
I'm sure death will be the same if I am old, and I actually think it would be quite selfish to want to live forever. There is definitely beauty in sacrifice, especially the giving of one's life for the greater good.

No. Having died once, I don't have a fear of death and realize that the ego is the source of that fear. The ego or personality is one of the first things to die in the dying process. Consciousness lives a little longer without the ego.
If people had the option of not dying it would create serious economic issues. The issue of others becomes a serious problem.
Anyway, it would probably turn out to be just an unusual extension of life. Life for the ego or personality would still eventually end.

I think I like the idea of dying. There is a point were life has given you all it can and your content to leave it. Many older people look forward to dying peacefully after living a fulfilling life. It's not at all because the condition of the world is deteriorating, only that once you're old you're usually tired of the world, you just want to pass over to rest peaceful. Sometimes you have nothing left to give. I want to know what it feels like.

Yes I would. Not to be selfish or because i fear death but because I believe I could help more people if I lived forever. Start by building a financial platform and from there work towards worlds problems, cures and charities. It would be a life of sacrifice for me and that is the only way i could justify living for ever. It is an exciting thought to be able to do that and fix so many wrongs but it is sad to realize that nobody can.

NO!life is two complicated and you will eventually go crazy trying to figure it out, at some point you would just get tired and bored or torn appart by the pain of constantly loosing persons that matter to you.
Also if you would eventually figure it out there would be no reason in living, we live to figure out the meaning of life that's what keeps us going.
I am absolutely convinced that even if it would be fizically possible to live forever your brain would crash and you would end up in a coma or as a "vegetable"
I want to die young becouse of an O.D when i start to feel that i have seen too much and i want to die while i am dancing ( even if it will just be in my mind) and i want it to be an accident (i would never kill myself). I dont want my death to hurt anyone i just want the people i love to know that i died happy and that they can go on without me....
I don't belive in hell or heaven...I do belive in reincarnation so as far as my present self is concerned there is nothing after your heart stops pumping blood ,it's just dot and start from zero again.

Well if I could live forever but I still aged, I would look hideous at age 130. I don't think I would want to live forever if I had to age. Even if I didn't age I wouldn't want to live forever because my friends and family would die and I would have no one.

Yes I would love to live forever. Can you just imagine all the changes you would see. It would be great!! I've already lived long enough to go from black and white 3 channel TV to colored Plasma 100's of channels TV. Out houses to indoor plumbing at my great aunt house in the country(I hated that outhouse). Before I really die I'm sure I will see even more changes.

I would certainly like to be able to live longer (and healthily, so I don't end up spending forever in a hospital), but forever is a period that no one has the patience for.

NO! Think of how hard it would be to lose everyone you love over and over again. Feeling like you have no purpose. No end to the beginning of your life. Think of how intelligent you would be after years and years of learning, only to be surrounded by ignorant people who have little to offer your mind. One would go mad in the thought alone of being stranded on this horrible earth forever. No heaven, no forgiveness. It's quite scary to me, actually.

Grow how old? Considering that people in their 80's and 90's are practically drooling on themselves, how would I be at the age of 200? I require more details.
