for that authentic biker look..... (1)start scooter,
(2) enter busy freeway, (3) make one fingered hand gesture at the first semi truck driver you pass. (4) slow down, say prayers, try to slide in a
parallel fashion to the road surface.
you just can't beat the "road rash" look this provides. however this type of maneuver can be quite fatal, so i wouldn't recommend it. you could just try wearing them til they break in to your shape. they feel a lot better when you do it this way.

ok, this is kind of a silly thing to do with leathers, bcs the intent of leather is pro (protection). And by distressing the leather you're *seriously* degrading its ability to provide abrasion protection.

But let's say you were just dead set on getting that bad-@s$ I've-been-doing-this-for-years look and wanted to minimize the real damage of serious abrasions. Here's what I'd recommend.

The two characteristics you can impart with minimal degradation of the integrity of the leather much is this: 1) creasing, and 2) burnishing.

To get creases in the right spots, there's not a whole lot you can do other than just bending the leather at the flex point often. You can employ something to keep it bent over night for weeks on end, like when kids would put their baseball gloves under their beds, but that's about it.

Burnishing, to take a little of the surface dye off and add a little patina to the surface is done best with a little polishing compound and a buffing wheel. Do so gently, and with not much pressure. Most importantly, do NOT burnish the seams, as the most important point of integrity to maintain is the quality of the threads holding your seams together.

I would *not* scour the surface, or try to acheive any "pre-crashed" look.

G'luck. And I really hope you're careful with this.

I don't know why you would want too it happens all too quickly but you can rub the surface of the leather with a scourer obviously in the places that have the most wear Butt, thighs, Knees & outside of calves Dont use water as this will shrink the leather if not on the boby to keep shape

Wear them in the weather for several years. Try being what you look like instead of imitating something.

Why would you do that? You want the leather to be in the best condition in case of a spill. Otherwis tie it to your car and drive it around for a dy. That will do the trick.
