Juliet doesn't know that Romeo can hear her & she's talking herself through the frustration she is experiencing with the social institution she was born into. She isn't angry here...I feel like it is more like confusion/frustration. She is questioning the validity of what her family believes & how they are dismissing someone based on his name. Juliet thinks it is ridiculous, stating that a name is not even close to describing someone; that if Romeo changed his name, he'd still be her love...a perfect guy. She actually says that she'd like him to change his name- since it has nothing to do with him anyhow & take her in return .

Juliet overall attitude is negative towards her family. It comes from her ability to reason through their (both Romeo & Juliet's) famlies' ridiculousness surrounding last names. She just wants them to end the feud & use their common sense...that names don't change people. Roses smell great, even if we call them rotten eggs...

Romeo, why are you called Romeo? Forget that your name is Romeo and Montague, or if you can't tell me that you love me, and I'll no longer use the name Capulet. It is our names that us enemies. What's a Montague/Romeo? Nothing. If Romeo were called George, he would still be the same person. Romeo forget your name and you can have me.
She is in love with Romeo. She says that if she would have known who he was earlier, she wouldn't have let herself fall in love with him. Juliet realizes that the feud is what might keep them apart. Also, if they can't be together, she'll kill herself.
The love that Juliet and Romeo have for each other is one of visuals--they "love" the looks of each other. Remember when Lady Capulet asks Juliet could love Paris? (Act I, Sc. 3 or 4)They talk of him like a book--you can't judge a book by its cover.
Just some ideas to get you started.

Juliet is feeling that her love will never be her own due to the feud that has divided the Montagues and Capulets. She is wishing that he would not be a Montague and she would not be a Capulet. She's right, it's only the name, not the person, that caused the feud. She knows if he were a "Smith" for instance, she would love him just as much.

I think she's angry and bitter. Some say she is sad, but I think she's ranting a little. She's rebelling against her family's wishes by loving Romeo. She is firming her resolve to love him. By taking this step, she is knowingly placing herself between two opposing arrows. She is going into the line of fire.

They are crushed they can not be together. They are separated by feuding family's. I.e what's in a name.... The love they feel for each other has no last name. It's a very romantic story!

She feels that there is no reason they should not be together. The only reason they can't be, is because of the family they were born to, and their last names. She doesn't care who he is, she loves him no matter what.
