I been havin a really difficult time to decide wheter i introduced or not my boyfriend to my family.
We have been together now for 3 months and im really lookin forward to continued this relationship
But the facts is he is 7 years older them me im 16 and he is 23.Here in Brazil this aint such a big deal but the thing that boders more is if my familly will accept him for being chinese?!?
Is the chinese ppl here in Brazil are known as owners of pastelarias and camelos .
and we have a really hard time whem we go on public , for example , once we were sitting at a bus stop whem i heard this group of girl from the slum saying " this chinaman must have a lot of money" and they said looking at my face. Obvious that they were trying to say that i was with him to get money.
and thats not the only time we being in this type of situation.

I just winted to know what ppl from other place think about this situation .

thank you

It's the same everywhere. The Chinese are universally regarded (with good reason) as being obsessed with the accumulation of wealth. Naturally you will experience racist comments if you go out with him. That's just the way of the world. As to how your family will react, you are the best judge of that.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you tell your family as much as you can about him before you introduce him in person. That way, there is no element of suprise, which is what you DONT want in your first meeting. Good luck!

I think you should talk with your parents about him before you introduce him. If you want to continue the relationship, you will have to deal with a lot of ignorant people.

yeah, talk to your parents about it. If you don't and they find out by themselves, then you will have a big problem. They won't trust you anymore, and that will be a hard thing to deal with. Don't listen to other people. If you love him, you love him, and its not like they can convince you to like him for his money.
