... why doesn't he let people speak their thoughts and beliefs during his interviews unless he knows they are off base enough on the facts that he can easily shut them down after they finsh speaking? I've seen and heard so many people get interrupted and told to "shut your mouth" when they are trying to share their valid points in a friendly and open manner. If he were such a fair host, why doesn't he shut up and wait for EVERYONE he interviews to speak their point? Now, I believe O'Reilly is the lesser evil of the conservative radio and television hosts, but he still has a venom saved for the people with honest thoughts and ideas. Being a democrat, I don't want to cut and run, I dont support terrorism, I don't hate America and I definately am not blindly followin Democratic candidates to undermind the freedom and greatness of this nation. Why does he label me so? Why does the phone screener for his radio show always hang up on me when I ask talk about about important issues?

I must honestly say, I've only voted republican once and thats because my father told me to at my first visit to the voting booth. After that, no, I have never voted republican. And not because I "don't like republicans" but because I agree with very little of what they are trying to sell. And what little I do agree with, just isn't enough to sway my vote. And as far as an example given, take his interview with Jeremy Glick. Its widely available to see on the internet. And also look at his program the very next day after that and see what he says about Glick. Its borders on slander.

I don't know if you've actually watched his show, but usually when he tells people to shut up, its because they are not answering his questions. Sure they may be speaking a valid point, but if that point is not the point at hand, as is usually the case, he simply does not allow them to change the subject to blindly spread whatever drivelling rhetoric they wish to spout off about. You say you do not blindly follow Democratic candidates, and for that, I applaud you. I am usually somewhere to the Right of Rush Limbaugh, but still feel compelled to vote Democrat about 30% of the time based upon specific candidates. If you truly do not follow blindly, ask yourself 'how many times have I ever voted Republican?' If you say never, then you are a hypocrite.
As far as the phone screener, they are always rude and have an agenda put upon them by the show, but that is the case with every show, everywhere, and O'Reilly (I actually don't like him) is no different, but at least he actually asks on some liberal guests, and lets some liberal callers in. Try being me and attempting to call in on a Liberal show, no such luck.

bill O'Reilly isn't elementary and balanced... he can't be, he's a commentator. I want Fox information woul no longer declare that ridiculous word "elementary and balanced" as some style of motto. It merely isn't authentic... and that's ok. there are distinctive people who want a information community it extremely is fairly a strategies perfect of the midsection. yet its watchers are fooling themselves in the event that they purchase that. I watch Fox at circumstances (yet i do no longer watch the remark shows like O'Reilly and Hannity till i'd like a laugh)... yet i don't have faith in Fox for tips till its inventory appropriate or non-political subjects.

I find Bill to be somewhat sanctimonious and holier than thou! But he's pretty on the ball when he stops someone spouting a bunch of nonsense. He comes down mostly on the side of common sense, but he admits he hold very traditional values, so in that sense, yes he's more conservative than not.
You sound like you've got your head screwed on straight. Why are you a democrat anyway? On what issues do you believe they have the better position than the GOP.

He's a celebrity now more than a...journalist?...it's all about ratings (as are ALL the news channels) and he knows where he gets the majority of his: from very Conservative individuals who only want their views corroborated.
I don't like Bill O'Reilly. I think he is not who he portrays himself to be - fair and balanced.

Saw Bill O Reilly for the first time on "Oprah" he confused me at first, thought he was a conservative, then libral. Finally realized he was messing with my head, playing mind games. HE IS GOOD, and making a good living. I will take what he says with a grain of salt and appreciaye his ability to "Mess with my head".

Bill O'Reilly is trying to keep his ratings up, plain and simple. I don't believe any one host is 'fair and balanced', they are all after the bottom line: viewers.

Normally it is because they are not answering his question, but going off on another subject to prove another point.
And while perhaps you may look at issues, most liberals don't but blindly follow.
All talk shows use screeners, since they get 100's and 100's of calls and only talk to a few. And you have to talk about the issues he is talking about that day normally. Works the same on all the talk shows, try to do it on air american and same thing happens also

Well, I don't recall seeing the incident that is implied in your question, however the times I have seen Bill O interrupt people is when they refuse to answer the question and instead launch on a prepared statement delineating some other facet of their agenda.

I don't watch his show. I can only imagine his low partisan tactics are intended to galvanize his viewers and bully those whom he dose not agree with.
