Trace the picture.
Place the tracing on grid paper, the kind that drafters use.
Look at your pumpkin, and see what size you need for the face.
Look at your traced picture.
Expand accordingly: for example if the eyes are one square wide in the picture, but you need them about four squares wide to fit your pumpkin, decide on this number, then copy the picture using the bigger size.

Either get tracing paper, then tace the pattern onto your pumpkin. Or if you have the pattern, take a pencil and trace your pattern on the pumpkin.
