They always do that. It also depends if you were good or not. Good Luck!

From my own experience in audtioning for school plays, I understand how anxious you are to get some feedback, be it positive or negative! Unfortunately, the judges whispering with each other could mean it was either good or bad. If they weren't happy with your performance, they may have critiques they would rather share with you at a more appropriate time and place. However, if they were thrilled with what you did, they would keep it on the DL since they will likely have a number of other people to consider, and don't want to get your hopes up prematurely.
Also keep in mind that when you audition for a roll in a student production, there are a number of factors that go into casting decisions besides your actual talent level. For example, if they are looking to cast a family, the mother and father would preferably be a bit bigger and have deeper/more authoritative voices. A good sign to watch out for is if they announce 'call backs,' in which case they want to take a closer look at certain players, often times next to others they have selected for different rolls (i.e. casting seniors in the mom and pop roles, they might call back several freshmen in the running for the son, and have the parents do the same scene with each one to see how well they play together). If your name is on the call back sheet, you can take this as an early indication that you have impressed the judges! Otherwise, you may have to wait until the cast list has been finalized and posted.

Could be either. They were probably just sharing their impressions of you with each other. It may be that you were perfect for a particular role and they couldn't wait to confirm that with each other. That happens a lot at casting calls when someone surprises them at the audition. Think positive and good luck!

Well, they might be whispering after every act, to discuss about who the person could play. I guess it could be bad, but if they looked really happy it was probably good. I don't really know, are you any good at acting? ;) no jk ;)

Makes absolutely no difference.
The only thing that counts is if you get the part. Good luck.
