According to the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition:

"Parenthetical or note references to the Bible should include book (in roman and usually abbreviated), chapter, and verse---never a page number. A colon is used between chapter and verse."

for an In-test paranthetical citation, you usually go : abbr. of book, Chapter : Verse

on a bibliography, however, I'm not sure, I would use a search engine to look up MLA citation rules.

THE ROUTE TO HEAVEN IS CLEARLY DEFINED BY JESUS IN JOHN 14:6 " I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMETH TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME."
GOD BLESS
