Try saddle shoes or patent leather shoes. But those are "old days" They pretty much wear anything now.

Black tie up leather/imitation with thick soles, or if you can't find any of those~I guess saddle shoes would work. You know the ones we/they wore in the 60s & 70s. Should be able to find some at Payless~maybe. But solid black would be best.

We use to wear tennies. Simple and white. In the 60s, the dress shoe was a black pump or saddle shoe.
