My friend is living with me until she gets an apartment. I love her to death but she needs too much. she uses my scent lotions, shower gels and perfumes, always needs a ride somewhere or wants to use my car. I told her I would help her out until she gets on her feet. she does things around the house to help out but some things just gets under my skin. I did ask her not to use up my smell goods but she kind of laughs it off. We've been friends for about 15 years, but i think she's a lil 2 comfortable.

I wouldn't be too hard on her, I'm sure she doesn't mean to irritate you, she probably is just making herself at home. Maybe put your yummy smelly stuff away in your room so it is not so available to her, or maybe the next time she uses it - say something joking, like "don't use it all up, or I'm almost out!"

If you have been friends for 15 years, just try to be patient. She won't be there long and I don't think this is a big enough reason to throw it all away, or let it come between you.

Good luck to you.

Try to be patient and be nice to your friend. You do need to let your friend know that u need some time alone and for them to respect your personal things and u will do the same for them. You might also try to get them a job or help them find one so u can get them out faster.

If you`ve been friends for that long then she`s not going to throw it away on something that stupid. Just sit her down and talk to her and make sure she doesn`t think its a joke. If she`s a good friend, you can definately talk to her about somethign this simple.

Sounds to me like a typical lover's spat. Do yourself a favor and from now on, don't get involved with roommates.

sit her down and tell her. let her know you don't want it to affect your friendship and that you want to help by letting her know how you guys can both be more comfortable in your house. and remind her that you wil be there for her and you are not pressuring her to get out of your house.
